alliance partnership connectAT&T and IBM have agreed to further their collaboration as they aim to help organizations manage information technology applications, networks and cloud computing workloads.

IBM said Thursday it will oversee AT&T’s managed application and managed hosting services and integrate the offerings into IBM’s cloud portfolio through the partnership.

Jon Summers, senior vice president of AT&T’s mobile and business solutions unit, said the companies have worked to build technologies over the past 20 years.

AT&T plans to continue to offer mobility, cloud networking and security services to customers as well as collaborate with IBM to develop integrated platforms.
