Jim Lee

Jim Lee serves as director and chief of staff to Microsoft’s worldwide public sector services vice president at the global software giant.

He previously served as Microsoft’s general manager for state and local government, education and healthcare business between May 2010 and September 2013.

Lee was the U.S. general manager of sales and delivery for public sector at the former Sun Microsystems, which was acquired by Oracle.

He also served as the U.S. custom solutions hosting manager at Qwest Communications, which was acquired by CenturyLink, and in the 1990s as the regional technology manager for Africa and portions of Europe for the World Bank.

Lee is a board member of the DC Police Foundation and a committee member at Paralyzed Veterans of America.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix.

Lee also completed an executive training program at Harvard University’s division of continuing education.
