Parsons has received an award from NASA in recognition of the company’s support to small businesses through the Facility Construction, Engineering, and Technical Services contract.
The company was selected for the Fiscal Year 2015 Small Business Industry Award based on its work as a prime contractor on the FaCETS contract at the space agency’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland, Parsons said Monday.
Mary Ann Hopkins, Parsons group president, said the company’s small business initiative works to provide opportunities for companies through the mentor-protege program and subcontracting efforts.
According to the company, it has collaborated with approximately 50 small businesses since it commenced work on the FaCETS II contract in 2011.
