Timothy Murphy, president of Thomson Reuters Special Services, has joined the advisory board of New York City-based cybersecurity company Global Data Sentinel.
Murphy brings a portfolio of cyber, counterterrorism, intelligence, law enforcement and security experience to GDS, the company said Thursday.
He has previously served as deputy director at the FBI, where he provided expertise in online security.
Murphy was also a vice president of MacAndrews and Forbes in New York.
GDS works with businesses and government on the security of their enterprise networks and devices connected to them.
