Omniplex World Services has purchased Social Intelligence’s government solutions business in an effort to gain access to public online data and social media information for use in background investigation process.
Omniplex will run the business as its Social Intelligence Government Solutions division and named Steve Lewis, former operations manager at Social Intelligence and a 30-year defense intelligence veteran, as director of the new division, the company said Tuesday.
Michael Santelli, Omniplex president and CEO, said the company expects to provide more platforms that work “to support the personnel and industrial security programs of government agencies, as well as apply social media vetting for fraud, waste and abuse, and program integrity missions.”
Omniplex will also acquire Social Intelligence’s algorithms and proprietary technology platform, which work to help evaluate individuals who aim to secure security clearances.
