General Dynamics plans to move its corporate headquarters to Reston, Virginia, from its current location at Fairview Park in Falls Church, Reston Now reported Tuesday.
Karen Goff writes General Dynamics has filed a proposal with the Fairfax County government to construct a 190,000-square-foot office building for about 200 employees on a vacant lot at 11011 Sunset Hills Road.
The proposed HQ site is close to a residential community and county officials have informed residents of General Dynamics’ future HQÂ development plans, Goff reports.
Cathy Hudgins, a Fairfax County supervisor, told Reston Now the defense and aerospace company’s proposal is subject to review by the Reston Planning and Zoning Committee.
Hudgins has scheduled a Jan. 20 meeting to gather feedback from the public.
