cybersecurityThe Department of Homeland Security has informed vendors that it has cancelled the agency’s $675 million Cyber Centric Mission Support Services acquisition program, FCW reported Tuesday.

Mark Rockwell writes the contract would have covered administrative and technical support to DHS’ Office of Cybersecurity and Communications as well as its National Protection and Programs Directorate.

A DHS contracting officer told bidders in an email obtained by FCW that the agency called off the competition “due to changes in CS&C’s requirements, a significant reduction in the projected utilization of the vehicle and the availability of other vehicles that will better meet CS&C’s requirements.”

The solicitation was launched in December 2013 and the agency disclosed on FedBizOpps that approximately 159 vendors were interested in the program.
