StephensStephens Investment Banking has named Christopher Gidden as its new managing director and head of aerospace and defense.

Gidden brings to Stephens prior experience as investment banking executive director and head of aerospace and defense for the EMEA region at Moelis & Company, Stephens said Jan. 25.

“Chris joins Stephens with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the aerospace and defense sector,” said Brad Eichler, Stephens executive vice president and head of investment banking.

“From his years in the U.S. Navy to working with U.S. and European sector clients, he is uniquely positioned to provide Stephens’ existing and potential clients with objective, expert advice and counsel to achieve their strategic goals.”

Gidden also held an executive post at J.P. Morgan and served as a U.S. Navy commander and special agent of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service.

He has more than 20 years of service as an active-duty and reserve military personnel.
