OSIsoft has been selected to install the company’s operations tracking software in a U.S. intelligence agency in an effort to monitor situations at several national facilities.
The PI System software will serve as an information technology-operational technology infrastructure to provide situational awareness to the government customer, OSIsoft said Wednesday.
OSIsoft will begin installation of the PI System in March.
Martin Otterson, senior vice president of sales, marketing and industry at OSIsoft, said the company aims to deliver the intelligence requirements of the client with the PI System software.
The tool features sensors that work to collect historical and real-time data from buildings, energy installations and IT systems to provide analytics to users.
