Cobham has said it continues to develop counter improvised explosive device technologies in partnership with the U.K. government and mine detector manufacturer Vallon GmbH.
Together with its partners, Cobham has delivered 150,000 communication systems and 9,500 counter IED detectors worldwide, the England-based company said Tuesday.
Cobham said its portfolio of handheld and vehicle mounted IED sensors work to support peacekeeping forces and civilians in combating asymmetric warfare around the world.
The company added Vallon GmbH is working to offer their co-developed buried threat detector Minehound to India in support of the country’s security and armed forces as they work to thwart potential terrorist activities.
