Dan Lukasik, sector vice president for intelligent transportation systems and tolling at Parsons, has been appointed as chair of the board of directors for research and development organization ITS California.
Parsons said Thursday Lukasik previously served as the not-for-profit, private-public organization’s vice chair of the board of directors for three years.
“As an accomplished ITS expert, I’m confident that Dan will bring immense value to ITS California and its members,” said Michael Johnson, a Parsons group president.
Lukasik’s current role in Parsons involves oversight of the company’s ITS projects across the western U.S., the company said.
The engineering and construction company further noted Lukasik’s 25-year career includes integrated corridor management projects in California such as the I-80 ICM in the San Francisco Bay area, the Dynamic Corridor Congestion Management Project in Los Angeles and the I-15 ICM system in San Diego.
