Helicopter-RadarCubic‘s global defense segment has awarded IEE a contract to provide control display units for integration with Cubic-built Personnel Locator Systems that are currently used in multiple types of military aircraft.

IEE said Monday it will build 3.5-inch active-matrix liquid-crystal displays in an effort to help Cubic Global Defense update current PLS CDUs on military aerial platforms such as the U.S. Air Force‘s C-130J transport planes.

The AMLCD platform will be designed with an Ethernet interface and to display locator output data on external moving map displays, IEE noted.

Cubic Global Defense also seeks to offer an updated version of its PLS to military agencies that use Black Hawk multimission helicopters.
