mobile-securityKryptowire has secured a position on the General Services Administration‘s Schedule 70 contracting vehicle to offer a tool the company designed to help agencies secure third-party applications in federally approved mobile devices.

The company built its technology as part of a cybersecurity research and development program run by the Department of Homeland Security‘s science and technology directorate, DHS said Friday.

DHS S&T then helped Kryptowire secure a Schedule 70 contract through GSA’s FASt Lane pilot initiative, the department noted.

“S&T’s priority is to help provide progressive tools, technologies and methods to help reduce vulnerabilities and malware in mobile devices and application, so this will help accelerate the adoption of secure mobile technologies in the future,” said Vincent Sritapan, mobile security program manager at DHS’ cybersecurity division.

GSA introduced the FASt Lane program in a bid to increase the number of qualified vendors who supply information technology products and services to customer agencies.
