biometricsManTech International has been awarded a $44.2 million contract with the Defense Department to maintain software the U.S. Army uses to collect, store and analyze biometrics.

The company will provide operational and user maintenance and software maintenance support to the Product Manager for Joint Personnel Identification Quick Reaction Capabilities Sustainment under the cost-plus-fixed-fee contract, ManTech said Monday.

“ManTech is excited to provide a responsive and innovative team to support this mission-critical program,” noted Daniel Keefe, president and chief operating officer of ManTech’s mission solutions and services group.

The contract contains a 12-month base period of performance and one 12-month option.
