Orbital ATK Completes Expansion of California Facility for Missile Warning System, Munition Production

Orbital ATK has completed the expansion of its facility in Northridge, California, to accommodate the production of the company’s AAR-47 missile warning system and Common Munition Bit Reprogramming Equipment.

The company said Monday that it transitioned the AAR-47 and CMBRE product lines from Florida to the updated facility.

The Northridge installation also produces the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile system for the U.S. Navy, Orbital ATK noted.

“With the completion of the First Article Inspection, the AAR-47 Missile Warning Systems from the new Northridge production line are ready for deployment to the front lines,” said Ron Tucker, AAR-47 lead for the Navy’s advanced tactical aircraft protection systems program office.
