Jacobs - ExecutiveMosaicJacobs Engineering Group has moved to expand its field services business in the Gulf Coast region after the company received contracts from several clients there.

The company said Tuesday it received a five-year contract to perform maintenance and material transfer support services at seven customer locations across Texas and Louisiana.

Jacobs also aims to continue its the Journeyman Certification Program that works to train and certify journey-level craft professionals with the National Center for Construction Education and Research curriculum.

Lowell Wiles, Jacobs senior vice president for field services, said the company continues to invest in workforce training and development programs in an effort to increase the number of qualified craftspeople to support customers’ construction projects.

Jacobs’ apprenticeship program received a Labor Department registration to train and certify craft personnel in restricted jurisdictions in the country.
