Science Applications International Corp. has delivered its 1 millionth tire under the Defense Logistics Agency‘s Tire Successor Initiative program contract awarded to the company in 2011.
SAICÂ said Tuesday it delivered the 1 millionth tire to the National Training Center in Fort Irwin, California.
The company is the prime contractor on potential nine-year, $1.1 billion TSI program for chain management services to support procurements and deliveries of aircraft and ground vehicle tires to U.S. military agencies and bases, plus foreign military sales customers.
Linda Messano, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s Defense Department agencies and commands customer group, said the TIS program’s goal is to support military operations readiness.
