Mikros SystemsMikros Systems will provide logistics and future development support to the U.S. Navy as part of a potential $48 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract the company received for the delivery of its condition-based maintenance system.

The Adaptive Diagnostic Electronic Portable Test Distance Support Sensor Suite will work to support the first eight of the Navy’s 28 littoral combat ships, Mikros said Tuesday.

The Navy will announce work location and funding upon each delivery order under the IDIQ.

“[We] are working actively to transition this technology and expand our business into new commercial and industrial markets,” noted Tom Meaney, Mikros president and CEO.

The company said the award builds on a previous pilot effort with the Navy.

Mikros has also launched a corporate website that works to provide clients information on the company’s hardware and software services and includes interactive features to communicate with current and prospective customers.
