ElbitSystemsLogoThe Defense Logistics Agency has awarded an Elbit Systems subsidiary a two-year, $7.3 million contract to provide the U.S. Army gunner hand stations for the BAE Systems-built Bradley Fighting Vehicles.

Elbit Systems of America will deliver Gunner’s Hand Stations that will operate alongside Commander’s Hand Stations to relay control signals to the Bradley M2A3/M3A3 turret fire control systems to support turret movement speed, target acquisition and firing accuracy, the company said Wednesday.

Amela Wilson, vice president of sensors and fire control solutions at Elbit Systems of America, said the company develops electronic and electro-optics systems for combat vehicles to help provide additional firepower to warfighters.

She added that Elbit Systems of America has supplied Gunner’s and Commander’s Hand Station units to the Army in support of the military service’s combat ground vehicle modernization effort.
