world blue mapIAP Worldwide Services has been tasked to deliver assistance and emergency power to Federal Emergency Management Agency regions IV and V in support of the agency’s response to Hurricane Matthew.

IAP said Thursday it has deployed numerous teams to Initial Support Bases located along the East Coast such as Fort Bragg, North Carolina and Orlando, Florida to support several states that have began preparations for the regional effort.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a contract to IAP in 2013 for emergency power, public works requirements support and engineering services during incidents considered nationally significant.

IAP CEO Doug Kitani said the company will work to support people and customers affected by the hurricane and also help the community.

Cape Canaveral Office-based IAP teams have helped evacuate the region and the IAP Panama City Office emergency operations center has been activated in addition to round the clock coordination with several USACE Primary Response Teams in Pennsylvania, Washington and Georgia.
