WastewaterTetra Tech has secured a $29 million contract from the U.S. Agency for International Development to support development efforts on water supply, sanitation and hygiene systems across sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.

The company said Tuesday it will collaborate with USAID’s Global Health Bureau to promote good hygiene practices and rural sanitation under the five-year Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Partnerships and Learnings for Sustainability project.

Tetra Tech added it will provide short-term technical assistance as well as develop and test new technologies to support water resource management and sanitation efforts of USAID and local governments in 24 high-priority countries.

“We are pleased to continue to support USAID’s mission to promote increased access to clean water and improved sanitation in developing countries,” said Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech chairman and CEO.
