solider, equipment, c4isrHarris has been awarded a potential $53.1 million contract to update a ground-based counter communication system for the U.S. Air Force.

The Defense Department said Thursday that Harris’ space and intelligence systems business will convert Block 10.1 systems to the Block 10.2 configuration, deliver the upgraded systems along with depot spares and conduct engineering studies.

The company will perform work in Palm Bay, Florida through Feb. 25, 2019.

The Air Force obligated $41 million in fiscal 2016 missile and other funds at the time of award.
