2016lockheedmartinlogoLockheed Martin has unveiled a new strategy for the company’s training and logistics business as part of efforts to optimize development costs and efficiency.

Lockheed said Monday its existing training and logistics products will be categorized into five areas named SciosView, SciosTrain, SciosTest, SciosLive and SciosReady.

Dave Scott, vice president of business development at Lockheed’s training and logistics solutions segment, said the company looks to “better leverage internal resources” through the new strategy to address product affordability.

Lockheed noted SciosView includes logistics products that work to deliver data support for air, land and sea platforms; while SciosTrain is comprised of platform-based virtual training systems that are designed to aid operational proficiency.

SciosTest is a suite of test and support products for warfighter safety and SciosLive offers live, virtual and constructive training environments based on augmented or virtual reality, the company added.

SciosReady includes turn-key products for performance-based training programs, Lockheed said.
