Concurrent Technologies Corp. has been named to Military Times’ Best for Vets employers list for the seventh time in recognition of the company’s efforts to provide employment opportunities to U.S. veterans.

The 2017 Best for Vets list of 82 companies is based on the results of a 100-question survey and assessment of the firms’ corporate culture and policies for retirees, CTC said Thursday.

“Employees who are current and former members of the U.S. armed services offer unique benefits to both our government and commercial clients – a strong work ethic, leadership skills, technical excellence, and more,” said Ed Sheehan, CTC president and CEO.

CTC said 32 percent of its new hires are military veterans and retired service personnel account for 15 percent of the company’s total workforce.

CTC is a member of a coalition of over 200 firms – Veteran Jobs Mission – that seek to hire 1 million retired servicemembers.

The company also secured several awards from Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve such as the Liberty Bell Award and the ESGR Soaring Eagle Award.
