Paul Sale, formerly chief human resources officer at electronic design automation company Mentor Graphics, has joined sensor technology manufacturer FLIR Systems as senior vice president and chief human resources officer.

FLIR said Tuesday Sale will report to President and CEO Andrew Teich and oversee the company’s organizational strategy, talent acquisition and development, compensation, benefits and corporate culture functions.

“Paul brings very relevant industry and functional experience, and has a proven track record in human resources leadership, as well as broader management skills in finance and accounting,” said Teich.

Sale held various leadership roles at Mentor Graphics such as director of global compensation and benefits and senior compensation manager.

He also served as external reporting financial analyst at Con-way and a senior accountant at KPMG.

Wilsonville, Oregon-based FLIR Systems builds thermal imaging infrared cameras and other sensor systems designed to increase perception and awareness of government and commercial customers.
