VMware and Oracle have agreed to streamline management and ensure security of Oracle’s portfolio of mobile business applications.
Enterprise organizations with business apps built on the Oracle Mobile Cloud Service offering can leverage VMware’s AirWatch and Workspace ONE mobility management platforms under the partnership, Oracle said Thursday.
VMware AirWatch works to help users manage and protect every app and endpoint device across operating systems through a single platform, while VMware Workspace ONE is built to help users access and manage mobile apps through a single sign-on feature.
Oracle’s OMCS is designed to help businesses customize their enterprise apps and develop their own enterprise mobile strategy.
Sanjay Poonen, chief operating officer for customer operations at VMware, said the partnership aims to help advance both companies’ shared vision to mobilize business processes for clients and end users.
