Cubic to Support Australian Navy's Simulated Training Activities - top government contractors - best government contracting eventCubic‘s global defense business has received a potential four-year, $7.11 million contract to develop and deliver simulation-enabled training events for the Australian navy.

The company said Monday it will provide simulation planning and technical support services as well as professional interactors to support multisite synthetic training at the Australian navy’s synthetic warfighting center.

The center is located at HMAS Watson Naval Base on Sydney Harbor and built to facilitate local and distributed mission training programs for land-based simulators and ships.

“We look forward to leveraging the expertise of our Australian simulation team and the best practices of our various global programs to aid the [Royal Australian Navy],” said Miles Macdonald, general manager of Cubic Defense Australia.

The company aims to help the service branch integrate constructive, live and virtual training methods through the contract.

Cubic also provides simulation support services to the Australia’s defense simulation and training center as well as the country’s army and air force.
