Kratos Defense and Security SolutionsKratos Launches Geolocation Tool for Satellite Interference Mitigation - top government contractors - best government contracting event has unveiled a new geolocation platform that works to determine the physical location of very small aperture terminals in an effort to mitigate satellite interference.

The satID platform comes with a time division multiple access geolocation module designed to classify, process and filter signals from VSATs and provide signal removal capability in order to optimize bandwidth allocation and reduce the effects of blocking carriers, Kratos said Wednesday.

The satID system seeks to help operators “identify the specific terminals causing interference and pinpoint their exact location to rapidly address quality of service issues,” said David Wilkinson, satID product manager at Kratos.

SatID also has a spectrum analysis feature that works to leverage the company’s Monics carrier monitoring system designed to perform modulation analysis and threshold triggering functions within the geolocation platform.
