VectorNav Technologies‘ headquarters in Dallas, Texas, has received AS9100 Revision D international aerospace standard accreditation that recognize the inertial navigation system developer’s manufacturing, quality management and customer service processes.
AS9100 is based on the International Organization for Standardization’s 9001 certification and established by industry in a push to comply with requirements from the Defense Department, NASA and the Federal Aviation Administration, VectorNav said Wednesday.
Scott MacDonald, process and quality engineer at VectorNav, said the accreditation reflects the company’s commitment to meet quality, cost and speed expectations of aerospace customers.
VectorNav produces miniature inertial navigation SWaP-C optimized systems that are based on microelectromechanical and global positioning and navigation satellite systems.
The company’s offerings include VN-100 inertial measurement unit/attitude heading reference system, VN-200 GPS/INS, VN-300 dual antenna and a tactical-grade systems line.
