A business unit of BAE Systems has received a potential $75.9 million delivery order to manufacture T-1687/ALE-70(V) electronic warfare devices as part of the U.S. Navy‘s PMA272Â Air Expendable Countermeasures program.
The Defense Department said Wednesday BAE’s information and electronic systems integration unit will produce the countermeasures designed to protect aircraft from radio frequency and infrared guided missile threats.
The full obligated amount at the time of award is from Navy, U.S. Marine Corps ammunition and aircraft funds as well as U.S. Air Force aircraft procurement funds, DoD noted.
Work will occur at a company facility in Nashua, New Hampshire, through March 2020.
