Lockheed to Support Deployed Navy Trident II Missile System - top government contractors - best government contracting eventLockheed Martin has received a five-year, $71.6 million modification under a U.S. Navy contract to support the military branch’s deployed Trident II fleet ballistic missile system.

The Defense Department said Wednesday the company will perform work under the cost-plus-incentive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee modification through Sept. 30, 2022.

Locations of work include California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Tennessee, Utah and Washington.

Trident II missiles are currently installed on the U.S.’ Ohio-class and U.K.‘s Vanguard-class submarines.

The Navy will obligate $60.9 million in fiscal 2018 weapons funds; $2.9 million in fiscal 2017 research and development funds; and $1.9 million in fiscal 2017 weapons funds on the modification.
