Irving Tan, senior vice president of Cisco‘s business operations in Asia Pacific and Japan, will transition to a new role as SVP for operations and digital at the San Jose, California-based technology company.

Tan will oversee digital transformation initiatives in partnership with sales, engineering and other departments of the company in his new position, Cisco said Thursday.

He previously served as VP of the firm’s ASEAN business and country manager in Singapore and Brunei.

His career at Cisco also includes leadership roles in enterprise sales, planning and operations, strategy, managed services, in-house consulting and internet business services.

Tan also worked as a principal at A.T. Kearney and business unit leader for Hewlett-Packard‘s communications and media solutions group in Asia Pacific and Japan.

Cisco also announced that Rebecca Jacoby, SVP of operations, will retire from the company by Jan. 27 after a 22-year career there.

Chris Dedicoat is due to step down as executive VP of worldwide sales and field operations on July 28.

He will remain with the company as a senior adviser to Chairman and CEO Chuck Robbins.
