Jacobs Receives CMAA Award for Recognition for Federal Courthouse Construction Project - top government contractors - best government contracting eventJacobs Engineering Group has won a Project of the Year award from the Construction Management Association of America for its efforts to manage the construction of a federal courthouse in Los Angeles.

CMAA presented the award to Jacobs during the association’s National Conference and Trade Show that took place in Washington, D.C. last month, the company said Friday.

The company helped the General Services Administration design request for proposals  documents for the $343 million LA courthouse project and managed the commissioning and construction processes.

Jacobs noted the 633,000-square-foot building features 24 courtrooms and 32 judicial chambers.

The 10-story building, which earned the U.S. Green Building Council’s Platinum LEED certification, is also home to the U.S. District Court, Central District of California, U.S. Marshals Service, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the Federal Public Defender and the GSA.
