ViON Subsidiary Launches PaaS Cloud Offering; Tom Frana Comments

ViON‘s Ascolta subsidiary has introduced a platform-as-a-service offering designed to help government contracting firms comply with federal cybersecurity standards.

Greenfield is hosted on a cloud environment certified under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program and meant to help contractors secure controlled unclassified information through a managed system, Ascolta said Tuesday.

“As the federal government raises the bar for cybersecurity, thousands of organizations that serve the government are pushed to quickly meet these new standards of operation,” said Tom Frana, chairman and CEO of ViON.

Ascolta designed its PaaS offering to help clients address security provisions under the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation and standards outlined in the National Institute of Standards and Technology‘s SP 800-171 publication.

The company unveiled the platform at the ongoing AFCEA West Conference in San Diego.
