Charles Moorman IV, William Parrett Appointed to Oracle's Board of Directors - top government contractors - best government contracting eventCharles Moorman IV and William Parrett have been elected to Oracle‘s board of directors in a unanimous vote that expands the number of board members to 14.

As members of the board, they will serve a one-year term and will take part in the election during the annual stockholders meeting to be held in November 2018, the company said Friday.

Moorman is currently a senior adviser at Amtrak, where he served as president and CEO from August 2016 until January this year.

He served at Norfolk Southern‘s operations, information technology and human resources units after joining the company in 1975 and rose to the positions of CEO, then concurrently as chairman, followed by a stint a a member of its board of directors.

Moorman is currently a member of the board of directors of Chevron and Duke Energy.

Parrett, meanwhile, serves as a board director at The Blackstone Group, Eastman Kodak, Conduent and Thermo Fisher Scientific. He was previously a member of the board of directors of UBS and iGate.

His career began in 1967 at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, where he served as CEO until his retirement.
