The San Diego, Calif.-based firm said Tuesday the updated modules feature a raised angle connector to interconnect without using an external Ethernet or power cable.
The modules are also designed to snap together vertically and horizontally and enable various configurations for tactical command posts and executive travel, Cubic added.
Each package includes a network switch, router, application server and smart battery power system.
“The M3X redefines modularity and represents a new operational capability and configuration system for warfighters and communications professionals,” said Michael Barthlow, Cubic Mission Solutions’ vice president of secure networking.
Cubic introduced the first line of M3X products from DTECH Labs in 2017.
