Navy Seeks Contractor to Design, Build Electronic Warfare Training Systems - top government contractors - best government contracting eventThe U.S. Navy has launched a small business set-aside solicitation on a potential five-year project to build integrated battleforce electronic warfare trainer and surface electronic warfare team trainer systems.

A FedBizOpps notice posted Wednesday says the military service looks for a contractor to design, develop, test and integrate EW training platforms through the competitive procurement effort.

The project is meant to support the Navy’s Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program software baselines; legacy EW trainers, BEWT II production, integrated training systems engineering and emergent training requirements for combat and ship sensors.

The Naval Sea Systems Command plans to issue firm-fixed-price contract line item numbers for the initial BEWT II AN/USQT47 article and subsequent production units.

Work will also include training system engineering, technical and in-service engineering agent support services.

Interested parties can submit proposals through July 11.
