SAIC Holds Networking Event for Veteran-Owned Firms; Jim Scanlon Comments

Science Applications International Corp. brought together multiple veteran-owned companies at a networking session in an effort to help small businesses identify potential teaming opportunities with the Reston, Va.-based government technology services contractor.

Representatives from more than 60 small businesses attended the event and pitched various offerings for the public sector, SAIC said Friday.

“SAIC’s partnership with the small business community is something we have valued for a long time,” said Jim Scanlon, senior vice president and general manager of SAIC’s defense systems customer group.

“Sessions like this one are extremely important for readiness and mission sustainment, and these relationships with small businesses help position us to better protect our country.”
