Timothy McClees, former program manager at Peraton, has joined the Aerospace Industries Association to serve as vice president.

In his new role, McClees will lead AIA’s legislative policy and advocacy efforts with members of Congress, the association said Monday.

He brings over 30 years of experience in defense and government service areas, having previously held staff roles at the Department of Energy and the House Armed Services Committee. At Peraton, McClees oversaw intelligence, data storage and dissemination programs collectively valued at over $50 million in support of the U.S. Air Force.

Previously, he was the chief of staff at Laurel Strategies, where he advised the chief executive officer.

McClees also has 10 years of U.S. Army service as an intelligence analyst for tactical and national signals exploitation systems.
