Lockheed Martin has acknowledged 19 small businesses’ support for products and services of the company’s missiles and fire control unit in 2017.

The suppliers were recognized for factors such as the delivery schedule and prices of parts, products and services, business process, values alignment and resolutions generation, Lockheed said Monday.

Brian Kubik, global supply chain vice president at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control, said the small businesses as suppliers help the company produce technologies to address customer requirements.

The company was highly rated in the Defense Contract Management Agency‘s 2017 evaluation for performance and support for an inclusive supplier base.

Lockheed has acknowledged small business suppliers for over 20 years and its current suppliers include 9,000 small businesses and 1,300 Florida-based companies.

Among the recognized suppliers is Evans Capacitor, which received the Small Business Administration’s 2017 National Small Business Subcontractor of the Year award.

MFC designs, develops, manufactures and supports aerospace, combat and defense systems, military manned and unmanned technologies and products and services for nuclear and green power applications.
