John Moore, a retired U.S. Army officer, has joined Technical and Project Engineering to serve as capture director.

In his new role, Moore will work to determine and capture business development opportunities for procurement, and recommend growth strategies to boost TAPE’s client and market impact, the company said Thursday.

The former serviceman will operate from the company’s Orlando satellite office, and will oversee all TAPE capture efforts regardless of location.

Previously, he worked as senior manager of business development at Leonardo DRS where he led efforts to capture and develop business opportunities with the U.S. Marine Corps.

Moore holds 23 years of experience as a logistician with the Army and Army Reserves, and made contributions to Operation Iraqi Freedom.

He is a recipient of the U.S. military’s Bronze Star and Meritorious Service Medal.

“The combination of John’s business development experience, industry contacts, technical expertise within TAPE’s capabilities and military service will help us capture both recompetes and new work in the Orlando area and worldwide,” said Louisa Long Jaffe, president and CEO of TAPE.
