As President and CEO of SRA International, Dr. DiPentima (Renny) helped to steer the federal systems integrator to explosive growth past the $1 billion milestone before handing the reigns over to Stan Sloane.

So ears perked up Monday when DiPentima joined the Board of Directors at Liquidlogo.gif Machines, Inc., a rising star within the fast growing Enterprise Rights Management (ERM) space. According to ABI Research, the ERM market is poised to hit annual revenues of $450 million in 2013, reflecting the growing need for organizations in both the public and private sector to more effectively safeguard sensitive information. Unlike other approaches to IT security, ERM operates at the document level by attaching rights and privileges to individual files.

Though the market is growing, Liquid Machines faced heady competition as the largest of emerging providers who must contend with industry stalwarts Microsoft, EMC, Oracle, and Adobe (all have ERM plays). As Liquid Machines looks to elevate its position in a market of large players, Dr. DiPentima will offer, according to the press release, “…strategic and operational guidance on working with Public Sector agencies and integrators to Liquid Machines’ board and leadership team.”

DiPentima, an ExecutiveBiz “Been There Done That” luncheon speaker, will be looked to by Liquid Machines Chairman and CEO Mike Ruffolo as a veteran who can leverage his experience to help the company build upon strong momentum in the public sector.

DiPentima joins an already impressive list of Members, matched by a corporate Advisory Board that includes the likes of Richard A. Clarke, a well respected former White House Advisor; Roger Cressey, counter-terrorism expert for NBC News; Donald Upson, former Secretary of Technology for The Commonwealth of Virginia; and Israel Feldman, founder of Government Computer News and a 45-year IT veteran.
