Greg Gallopoulos Sails to V.P. of General Dynamics

Greg Gallopoulos has marked a rapid ascent to V.P. after recently joining General Dynamics as deputy general counsel in July. This stellar rise is certainly a reflection of his years of management and legal expertise in the wide arena of corporate and government litigation.

Mr. Gallopoulos built this expertise while in private practice for a significant part of his career. Taking his Michigan Law School J.D. to Jenner & Block LLP, headquartered in Chicago, he represented General Dynamics in the courtroom for many affairs: acquisitions, contracts, divestitures, and taxes. Mr. Gallopoulos reached the pinnacle of his time at the firm when he became managing partner in 2005. When speaking at the Managing Partner Magazine’s 2^nd Annual Practice Group Leadership Forum last year, Mr. Gallopoulos emphasized solid client communication as, “…collective listening, synthesizing, and using information in planning next steps…” He explained that this approach is the foundation of a strong client and firm relationship.

Intimately representing General Dynamics for so long has enabled Gallopoulos the insight and familiarity to maximize his management and legal skills as V.P. The Falls Church, Va., powerhouse is projecting revenues for 2008 approaching $30 billion by trailblazing in many areas. General Dynamics has captured significant market share in the defense industry, particularly in: information systems and technologies, combat systems, marine systems, and aerospace.
