GlobalLogic, a Vienna-based company that partners with software developers to help them bring their products to market, has named Mike Daniels as the chairman of its board of directors. Daniels, a 30-year veteran of the technology sector, previously served as a senior executive at Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).

His election as chairman comes at a time of rapid growth for GlobalLogic, which recently opened a new development facility in China and expanded its operations in the U.S., India and the Ukraine.

“Last year, GlobalLogic helped our technology clients bring more than 300 software products to market and we nearly doubled our revenue in the process,” said Peter Harrison, chief executive officer of GlobalLogic. “Daniels’ expertise in building high-growth technology-enabled services businesses will be a major asset as GlobalLogic continues to expand globally. His experience in the mobile sector will also be a benefit to our fast-growing mobile business unit, which provides R&D services to many of the world’s top mobile software product innovators.”

Mr. Daniels also serves as a member of the Governor’s Information Technology Commission for the Commonwealth of Virginia. He was appointed in 1999 by Governor Gilmore to be chairman of the Virginia Workforce Council. He has served as an advisor to the White House (National Security Council), as a U.S. National Commissioner to UNESCO and as a member of the United States Trade Representative’s International Investment Policy Advisory Committee.
