Recently Mark Danisewicz was named “CFO of the Year” at the third annual Virginia Business CFO of the Year Awards banquet. Danisewicz is CFO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS, a government and commercial IT solutions provider and one of the top 100 majority-owned ESOP companies in the United States.
The annual Virginia Business CFO of the Year Awards recognize chief financial officers’ contributions to the success of Virginia-based businesses. This year’s winners were selected from among 50 nominees by a five-judge panel that included a former chairwoman of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) and four former award recipients. One of five honorees, Danisewicz was recognized in the “Large Private Company” category for his superior corporate finance accomplishments, including eliminating the company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) debt.
“I am extremely proud of what Mark and his team have accomplished during the past few years, and this award is well-deserved,” says AMERICAN SYSTEMS’s president and CEO William C. Hoover. “Mark’s contributions are integral to AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ strong financial performance and continued success in a competitive marketplace, and this accolade is a testament to his exceptional leadership and financial capabilities.”
