CSC (NYSE: CSC), a global leader providing high technology-compatible solutions, disclosed today that they were awarded a task order to provide systems engineering, technical and program support for the US Army's Project Manager, Defense Communications and Army Transmission Systems (PM DCATS). CSC was originally awarded the Strategic Services Sourcing contract vehicle in March 2006, and has a one-year base period and two one-year options, totaling an estimated three-year task order value of $226 million. The award was made during CSC's fourth quarter fiscal year 2009.
The Department of Defense tasks PM DCATS with providing with communications transmission systems via satellite, wireless, fiber optics, and microwave.
With this task order, CSC will assume control of a broad range of support capabilities, including project and technical management; design, research and development; systems engineering; and training. CSC will provide support to a wide range of PM DCATS projects worldwide, from the continental US, the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.

General Dynamics SATCOM Technologies, of Newton, N.C. will be teaming with CSC on the task order.
