Lockheed Martin’s subcontracting partner, CSC will be operating the new U.S. Census Bureau office in Baltimore County, Maryland. The facility is a partnership between the U.S. Census Bureau and Lockheed Martin to prepare data processing for the 2010 census.
CSC will be in charge of hiring more than 2,500 employees with expertise in computer and warehouse operations, document sorting and preparation, and managerial and team leadership. The center is part of the Decennial Response Integration System program that Lockheed Martin has created to provide the people, process, technology and infrastructure for the 2010 Census.
Jim Sheaffer, President of CSC’s North American Public Sector, joined federal, state, and county officials as well as executives from Lockheed Martin and the U.S. Census Bureau at the ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 29th.
