Qwest Adds Ex-McDonalds’ COO Michael Roberts to Board of Directors

Qwest Communications International Inc. has named former McDonald’s Corp. COO and current CEO of Westside Holdings LLC, Michael Roberts to its board.  This appointment brings the total membership of Qwest’s board to 13.

In a career spanning almost 30 years with the fast-food giant, Roberts has served as CEO of its U.S. division, McDonald’s USA, culminating as corporate COO at the time of his departure for “personal reasons” in 2006.

Qwest Chairman/CEO Ed Mueller stated, “Mike’s extensive executive experience with one of the most recognizable brands in the world and his deep understanding of providing outstanding customer service make him a great addition to our board.  It is my pleasure to welcome Mike to Qwest, and we look forward to working with him on our future success.”
