Executive Profile: Carleton Jones


Prior to his death in May 2011, Carleton Jones served as former president and vice chairman of INDUS Corporation, and as senior adviser to Intelligent Decisions.

Before joining INDUS in 2008, Jones served as president and chief executive officer of Multimax Inc. Previously, he was also president of VanStar Government Systems, Inc. and Sysorex Information Systems.

Jones’ government-contract and government-affairs experience came from his roles as deputy general counsel within the Executive Office of the President and as a supply officer in the Navy.

Jones, who graduated from Denison University and Yale Law School, practiced law as a partner in the Washington, D.C., law firm of Shaw, Pittman, Potts & Trowbridge (now Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman). There, he focused on government contracts and executive and regulatory government affairs.

Jones left INDUS on Jan. 31, 2010.
