Websites in Pakistan Hacked

Several websites in Pakistan were hacked last week, including the website of the Pakistani National Response Center for Cyber Crimes. The hacker was able to access a database of email addresses on one of the websites, according to an article on SCMagazineUK.com.

According a forum posting, the hacker claimed to have accessed the database while conducting a penetration test. The hacker was able to access the database along with the backups. The hacker posted screen shots of the hacked website and the email database as proof.

On the hacked website, the hacker left a message that the database and emails were leaked. This breach could have severe consequences if the list is published, particularly given the polarized nature of politics in Pakistan.
